BHC Gardens 2013

The process of designing the annual gardens at Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain is pure fun for me – an exercise in color theory, texture, and flow.  Using 14,000 annuals, a few edibles and the occasional perennial or shrub, it’s a bit of a departure from our ecological design projects, but it is an outlet for whimsical creation, and I’ve still seen plenty of pollinators visiting the blooms.  Here’s a slide show of this year’s designs:
